GG's Saturday Movie: The Mistress of Spices

 Hello, kitties!
Today's movie is one from my personal collection too, but since I don't have a camera available I'm not able to take pictures, so sorry for that.
This afternoon I've re-watched this beautiful love story with an oriental feeling to it. It's about Tilo, a beautiful Indian woman who sells spices in her shop in San Francisco.

Tilo has a special gift, she is a so-called Mistress of Spices, meaning she can make sure the spices fulfill her clients' wishes. But in order to to that, she has to follow some rules: she can't touch another human being and she must remain faithful to the spices.
All is nice and good until one day when a handsome American walks into her shop and she feels instantly attracted to him. His name is Doug, and he's tall, dark and handsome-the lethal combination.

Tilo finds herself thinking more and more about him, but after a while the spices she sells are no longer helping her clients, on the contrary. So Tilo has to make a decision: does she chose to remain the Mistress of Spices and devotes her life to them or does she follow her heart and chooses Doug?
The film stars the beautiful Indian actress Aishwarya Rai and Dylan McDermott. I liked the fact it was a slow-paced movie, there were many vibrant colors used and I learned a thing or two about spices!
