Garnier Fructis Goodbye Damage Fortifying Conditioner review

Official description:
Is your hair damaged, lifeless and prone to breakage?

Get ready to set your hair free with Goodbye Damage Fortifying Conditioner! Enriched with Keraphyll and Amla Fruit Oil, the powerful formula repairs hair from within, sealing split ends.

A double action to repair damaged, lifeless hair:
- On the inside : the formula penetrates into the hair fibre to fill in cracks caused by damage. Hair is strengthened from within.
- On the outside : the formula seals the cuticle for added strength. Hair is smooth through to the ends.

Packaging: Comes in an orange squeeze tube containing 200 ml.
Texture: Very thick, creamy. White color, pleasant fruit scent.
What it does: When I bought my current Schauma shampoo they didn't have any conditioners from that brand at the store, so I chose something from Garnier. My hair is long now pass my shoulders and it's tricky to take care of because the roots are getting oily fast and I have a sensitive scalp, but the ends are a little bit damaged because you know, wind, sun, hard water and so on. Therefore, I always use a shampoo suitable for greasy hair, but a conditioner suitable for dry or damaged hair and that combination works best for me. Now, about this conditioner. I wasn't too enthusiastic about the Garnier Ultra Doux conditioner I had in the past because it didn't do much for my hair, but the Fructis line surprised me pleasantly. I remember I had another conditioner and a shampoo in the past and I liked them. My hair is smooth, it has a nice shine, it's easy to style, so I have everything I want from a conditioner. This particular conditioner is in my top 3 for now. I haven't decided if I like Nivea conditioner more or not, but this one is great (I'm talking drugstore hair products here, I don't use professional stuff because they're too expensive for me).
Price: 10 lei (2 euros) in any supermarket
Re-buy or pass: Yes, I might just repurchase this conditioner.

Schauma 7 Herbs Shampoo review

Official description:
The formula with 7 carefully chosen herbs removes grease, provides freshness and perfectly restores the hair's natural volume.
Hairtype: Normal to fast re-greasing hair
  • The Shampoo gently cleans the hair, removes excessive grease and leaves the hair healthy looking
  • It strengthens the hair from the roots down to the tips
  • The strengthening formula contains precious herbal extracts such as Camomille, Rosemary or common hop
  • Herbal extracts are used for decades for cleaning the hair and improving its condition
  • For well-groomed hair with natural volume and a light feeling of freshness all day long
Packaging: Plastic, green squeeze bottle containing 250 ml
Texture: The shampoo is more on the liquid side, it has a pale green color and it smells vaguely like herbs.
What it does: I bought this shampoo mainly because I was being nostalgic. In the 90's, when there weren't that many beauty brands in our country, friends and family who were working or living in Germany would bring us drugstore stuff they could find everywhere. Schauma was something almost everyone had because it was so cheap. And it still is.But I remembered I always liked their shampoos and plus Schwarzkopf makes SYOSS too and figured it couldn't be that bad. And I was right. For my greasy hair, the 7 herbs (which are listed only with the ingredients, so I don't know exactly what they are) get the job done. For me, it's important not to have an itchy scalp just one day after I washed my hair. Therefore, my scalp feels good and my roots are not greasy. Also, if you have a problem with silicone, this shampoo is 100% free of it.
Price: about 10 lei (2 euros) in any supermarket
Re-buy or pass: Yes, but at the same time there are other two shampoos from Schauma I want to try, so we'll see.

Clear Women Volume Maxx Shampoo review

Official description:
CLEAR helps you regain your natural shine and volume MAXX VOLUME CLEAR and enjoy such beautiful hair without compromise: zero dandruff  and more volume from the first wash . Moreover, benefiting from complex Nutrium 10 with CLEAR shampoos enjoying unique formula that penetrates deeply beneficial nutrients, feeding and caring for your scalp.
Packaging: Plastic bottle containing 250 ml.
Texture: The shampoo is pink and has a very pleasant, subtle scent.
What it does: I got only a travel size bottle of this shampoo as a gift from a magazine I bought and I got 4 uses out of it, so I think I formed my opinion. I'm crazy about trying new hair products and I liked this one because Clear has always been one of my favourites. My hair looks great, it has plenty of volume (I have thin hair) and it did help me with my dandruff. All in all, it's something I would highly recommend to anyone with greasy and thin hair. I still wash my hair every couple of days, because that's how I personally like it, but I could wait 3 days if I wanted to.
Price: 16 - 17 lei (4 euros)
Re-buy or pass: I didn't buy a whole bottle of this shampoo just because I have another one in testing, a more natural one, but I would buy this shampoo in the future.

Palmolive Naturals Long and Shine Shampoo review

Official description: I can't seem to be able to find this shampoo on any of the English language sites and mine is from Greece, so I just picked up a couple of words from the French translation on the packaging. Anyways, this shampoo contains olive extract and it's recommended for medium and long hair and it's supposed to make your hair look shiny.
Packaging: Rather plain white bottle with some olives on it. Could it be more generic? Mine is a 400 ml jumbo size one.
Texture: It looks pretty much like a white cream and it has a very pleasant scent. It stays on the hair, so if you don't like scented shampoos avoid this one.
What it does: At first, I was afraid to use this shampoo because in my mind anything that contains olive extract must be for dry hair and on the packaging it doesn't mention anything about that, just that it's supposed to nourish long hair and give volume. Luckily, my scalp seems to like it, since I didn't get any itchiness or dandruff or anything unpleasant. My hair didn't get greasy and I could have staid for 3 days in a row without washing my hair, but I like to feel clean, so I do it anyway any other day. My hair looks shiny and it feels smooth, so I'm happy with the result. The only thing is the volume isn't there. My hair doesn't look to flat or anything (I rarely use any styling products), but it definitely had more volume when I used the Yves Rocher shampoo with hamamelis. But I noticed that most volume shampoos tend to make the hair look frizzy , so I guess I prefer to have smooth hair in opposite to big and frizzy.
Price: I didn't see any Palmolive shampoos in stores, and mine was a gift from Greece so I don't know how much it costs, but Palmolive is an inexpensive brand.
Re-buy or pass: Well, it's not a "wow" shampoo, but I would probably repurchase it if there were any on the shelves.

Garnier Ultra Doux Heritage de Provence Conditioner review

I bought this conditioner being a marketing victim. I was shopping with my hubby for a new conditioner and after 15 minutes of staring at the shelves, I chose this new Garnier one. Because it's new and...I liked the packaging, so shoot me.
Official description: For dull hair, without shine, the new recipe combines essential lavender oil, known for its cleaning properties, with the famous Grasse roses which gives you smoothness and luminosity.
Packaging: I saw the cute lavender bottle and I couldn't resist. The bottle contains 200 ml.
Texture: It's more liquid than I thought it would be and I don't think it does much for dry hair. I'm happy for the shine and the detangled hair, but I don't have any major problems with my hair, just my scalp.
What it does: It's a normal conditioner, best suited for normal hair. My hair doesn't get greasy from it and the smell is amazing. I wish it could stay all day on, but I feel the scent only a couple of hours. Don't get this if you don't like lavender, because, when you apply it it's very strong. I can smell the roses too, but the lavender is overpowering. A bonus, it's paraben and silicone free.
Price: 9 lei (about 2 euro) from a local supermarket.
Re-buy or pass: Probably I won't repurchase this conditioner. I wanted to see how it is and it's ok, but I want something more for my hair.

Yves Rocher Hamamelis Soft Shampoo review

Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire
Official description:
Silicone free formula
Your hair is soft and light

Bonus : Dermatologically tested to be suitable for sensitive scalps and children's hair (over 3 years).
Packaging: The shampoo comes in a simple, white plastic bottle with a cap and it contains 300 ml (10.1 fl.oz).
Texture: This is a more liquidy, clear shampoo with a vague hint of herbal scent. Although I guess it's supposed to be a more "natural" kind of shampoo, it makes plenty of foam.
What it does: After the horrible experience with Wash&Go, I tried this soft shampoo to get rid of the itching of my scalp and the dandruff. And I must say, it really is mild and my scalp feels grateful. The only inconvenient I could find is that my hair seems a bit dull after the 2-3 times I've used this shampoo. Also, of course it doesn't do anything to help it gain volume, something I badly need.Overall, I would recommend this shampoo to people who have sensitive skin and need something gentle for their hair. I do think it's a little bit better than a completely natural shampoo, because from my previous experience with them, natural shampoos tend to excessively dry out the hair and make it very fizzy.
Price: about 2.5 euro
Re-buy or pass: Honestly, I don't know. I want it all: healthy scalp and shiny hair and I just can't seem to find a shampoo with the perfect balance between those two things, so I'll keep looking, but for now I'm gonna stick to this, until I finish the bottle.

SYOSS Glossing Shine-Seal Treatment review

Official description: Couldn't find one
Packaging: Pink tube containing 250 ml of product.
Texture: Thick white cream with a pleasant scent.
What it does: This is a treatment and I think you're supposed to use it as a mask, but on the packaging it says only to apply for 2 minutes and then rinse and that's it. I use it basically as a conditioner, because i use this every time I wash my hair. I'm obsessed with shiny hair because i don't color my hair and my only regret is the nice shine women with colored hair have. So, this was actually a very nice surprise. It's the cheapest product I've used that actually makes my hair shiny. It says it contains keratin, so i think this might be the reason why. I also like the fact that my hair doesn't look dull an it maintains volume and this is great because usually shampoos and conditioners for shininess tend to do that.
Price: about 2 euro
Re-buy or pass: Not only will I repurchase this treatment again, but i want to try other SYOSS products as well. I was afraid because of the large quantity bottles you get for a low price, but I find from reading on the Internet that with these products it's a love it or leave it kind of relationship. Either you love them or you hate them and they're not for everyone.

Wash&Go Volume Plus Shampoo review

Official description: For hair that falls due to breakage. With nettle extract.
Packaging: The signature green bottle contains 400 ml of product.
Texture: Thick, green shampoo with a slight herbal scent.
What it does: I admit on the packaging it doesn't say this is supposed to be anti-dandruff shampoo, but nettle is known for its anti-dandruff properties. I didn't have this problem until I started using this shampoo. It's true, my hair has a lot of volume and I do have thin, fine hair, but I also have dandruff issues now. So, this shampoo doesn't seem to suit me. I also confirm the 48 hours volume, as I wash my hair usually every 2 or 3 days, because after that it gets oily.
Price: about 2 euro
Re-buy or pass: I'm never ever going to use this shampoo again. I like the volume, but i don't want the dandruff.
