Yves Rocher Hamamelis Soft Shampoo review

Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire
Official description:
Silicone free formula
Your hair is soft and light

Bonus : Dermatologically tested to be suitable for sensitive scalps and children's hair (over 3 years).
Packaging: The shampoo comes in a simple, white plastic bottle with a cap and it contains 300 ml (10.1 fl.oz).
Texture: This is a more liquidy, clear shampoo with a vague hint of herbal scent. Although I guess it's supposed to be a more "natural" kind of shampoo, it makes plenty of foam.
What it does: After the horrible experience with Wash&Go, I tried this soft shampoo to get rid of the itching of my scalp and the dandruff. And I must say, it really is mild and my scalp feels grateful. The only inconvenient I could find is that my hair seems a bit dull after the 2-3 times I've used this shampoo. Also, of course it doesn't do anything to help it gain volume, something I badly need.Overall, I would recommend this shampoo to people who have sensitive skin and need something gentle for their hair. I do think it's a little bit better than a completely natural shampoo, because from my previous experience with them, natural shampoos tend to excessively dry out the hair and make it very fizzy.
Price: about 2.5 euro
Re-buy or pass: Honestly, I don't know. I want it all: healthy scalp and shiny hair and I just can't seem to find a shampoo with the perfect balance between those two things, so I'll keep looking, but for now I'm gonna stick to this, until I finish the bottle.

Yves Rocher Lip balm review

Official description:
A lip balm with a hint of shine for soft lips
A soft and gentle balm!

This nourishing balm enhances your lips with a scintillating veil of colour. Its luscious texture, available in different pastel shades, never feels sticky.

Beauty Bonus : its tube format is so practical, letting you take it everywhere.

Tested under dermatological supervision. Paraben free.
With nourishing and protective sweet almond extract.
Shade 11. Rose Doux
Packaging: Tube containing 7 ml (0.23 fl.oz.). The design is very cute, using mauve and pink.Unfortunately, it's a squeeze tube, so I get sometimes too much product out.
Texture: This is an interesting combination between a lip balm and a lip gloss, so it's a bit on the sticky side. Luckily not too much, so I don't feel like my lips are too sticky. It has a pale pink color and a sweet scent that truly reminds me of roses.

What it does: I feel it's nourishing for my lips and I get a little bit of shine, like using a clear lip gloss. When it comes out it looks pink, but as you can see in the picture when you start to blend it, there isn't much color left and on my lips it doesn't show up at all. The tube is a lot smaller than I expected. On one hand, it's great for carrying around in my purse, but on the other hand, I'm just not convinced there are 7 ml worth of product in this small tube.

Price: about 3 euro.
Re-buy or pass: I like the texture and the scent, but I'm not a fan of squeeze tubes and I find for that money I can easily buy a normal-sized lip balm, so I'm gonna pass this one in my future purchases.

Yves Rocher Brazilian Coffee Beans Shower Cream review

Official description: Explore the lush gardens of Brazil along the paths lined with coffee trees. Rediscover each morning the powerful , refined fragrance of precious coffee beans and abandon yourself to this bewitching shower cream with its soothing scent.
Packaging: Transparent plastic bottle which contains 200 ml.
Texture: It really is a shower cream, quite rich, with a pale shade of beige color and delicious scent.
What it does: Just after I started this blog I realised almost all the products in my bathroom are YR. I love Jardins du Monde shower gels and creams and this one and the cocoa beans one are my two favorites. I'm pretty lazy, so I don't always have the patience to use body lotion after shower, so I look for bath products that hydrate the skin and leave it soft and moisturised. This shower cream is one of them. I particularly like the scent, it smells like a creamy coffee and I would literally drink it if I could. It make a rich foam, so I don't have to use much product.
Price: about 2 euro.
Re-buy or pass: I keep re-buying it for several years now.

NOTD: Yves Rocher Rose Sorbet

I like pink nails, so there's no wonder I tend to buy lots of pink nail polish. This one is a mini-nail polish from YR, which is a nice pink candy color with a shiny finish. Although it stays on the nails without chipping for about 3-4 days (I do many house chores, like washing dishes by hand or sometimes even clothes), it needs 2 coats to reveal it's true shade.

Yves Rocher Pur Bleuet Express Makeup Remover review

Official description: It removes all traces of make-up in one sweep. Known for its cornflower formula that is delicate enough for sensitive eyes and does not sting.

The Plus:
- Its cornflower enriched formula with soothing properties.
- Presented in the form of a two-phase lotion.
- Its quick results.
Tested under ophthalmological supervision
Packaging: Plastic transparent bottle with a cap. It contains 125 ml (4.2 fl. oz)
Texture: It's a biphasic eye makeup remover, so you have to shake it before using it for the oil and the liquid to mix together.
What it does: I always loved all makeup remover I've tried from YR and this one is no exception. I have troubles with removing mascara for some reason, but with this one, even waterproof mascara is gone in one sweep. It's very gentle on the eyes and I never experienced stinging or other discomfort when I used it. I don't know if it's the cornflower extract or what, but my eyes feel somehow refreshed when I take my makeup off in the evening. If I wasn't so cheap, I would use it in the mornings too, to look more rested. Although its formula contains oil, there's no residue left, so I don't have to necessarily wash my face after (just that I like to do that anyway).
Price: about 5 euro
Re-buy or pass: I already bought two bottles of this, because it was on a buy one get one free sale, but I will pay full price for it anyway, because it's the best eye makeup remover I've used so far.

Yves Rocher Pure Calmille Deep Cleansing Gel review

Official description: A refreshing gel enriched with organic chamomile.

Rich-lathering, soap-free gel leaves skin purified and fresh. The perfect choice for women who prefer a rinse-off cleanser. Soft, floral scent. Cleanses the skin in depth, effectively eliminating impurities and traces of make-up.
An ultra-simple, daily cleansing gesture to ensure flawless skin! Perfectly purifies the skin.

The Plus: this gel is soap-free, so does not dry the skin.

Dermatologist tested. Suitable for all skin types.

Packaging: It comes in a bottle with a cap and it contains 200 ml. Like the cleanser, the plastic bottle is nice and simple. I would have likes a bottle with a pump, but luckily, the gel isn't too thick,so I can get out the right amount of product for a wash.
Texture: It's something between a liquid and a gel, not too thin and not too thick. It makes a lot of foam, so I don't have to use too much. It has a pleasant green color and a nice, floral scent.

What it does: It truly is a deep cleansing gel, although it hasn't any exfoliating particles in it, and it's very gentle to the skin. I don't feel my skin dried out after using it, I just moisturise anyway because I have an age you know, I can't just hope for beautiful skin when I'm past 25 years old.
Price: about 4 euro.
Re-buy or pass: I like this cleansing gel very much, it's hard for me to find a deep cleansing gel suitable for my problematic T- zone that isn't too rough on the skin. As you probably can tell by now, I very much enjoy Yves Rocher skin care products, so this one isn't leaving my bathroom too soon.

Yves Rocher Pure Calmille 2-in-1 Cleanser+Toner review

Official description: Discover all the softness of organic chamomile in this 2 in 1 product enriched with flower water!

The mildness of a milk and the freshness of a lotion combined in a single gesture.
An ultra-practical beauty gesture for quick, easy daily cleansing: perfect for all women on the lookout for simplicity and natural products.

The Plus : its melting gel texture leaves a non-sticky, very soft finish.

Packaging: The cleanser (because it's more of a cleanser than a toner) comes in a plastic bottle with a cap and it has 200 ml. The bottle is very simple and elegant and I like the narrow shape of it.
Texture: It's similar to a cleansing milk but more liquidy. It's non greasy, so you don't need to necessarily wash your face after using it, but I like to use a cleansing gel as well, or else I don't feel like my face is "clean". The picture is not the best one, but I can tell you it has a white color with a yellow shade and it smells floral, not enough to be a problem if you don't like scents in skin care products.
What it does: I like the feeling of freshness I get from it and it's suitable for any skin type. I use this at night, to remove my make-up, but I wouldn't recommend testing it on the eye area, as I find special eye make-up removers to work better than cleansing lotions. It might sting in the eyes because it contains perfume.
Price: about 4 euro.
Re-buy or pass: I like Yves Rocher when it comes to skin care and this is actually my third bottle of this cleanser, so I would definitely repurchase it.

Yves Rocher Pure Calendula face cream review

I've tried to find an official description of the product, but it seems other YR sites don't have it for sale anymore, so I'll skip this part for this time.
What I can tell you, is that this face cream claims to be suitable for all skin types, for day AND for night, and it contains marigold extract.
Packaging: the cream comes in a container of 50 ml (1.7 fl.oz.), and it has an orange lid that I find to be pretty annoying because it's not perfectly round and sometimes I can't get the container closed from the first time.

Texture: because it contains marigold, and I know this plant is recommended for dry skin, I find the cream to be a bit greasy and it leaves some shine on my skin. I have combination skin, so I use this mostly at night or in cold days to protect my skin, but I don't think it would be something suitable for oily skin.
What it does: I think this face cream is something suitable for normal skin, with no special problems, because I don't think it does anything special. However, I like the feeling of soft skin I get from it, and somehow it makes it smother, so my make-up looks really nice (I don't always use a primer). I have some acne issues on my forehead and on my chin and although things haven't improved much, at least it hasn't gotten worse, and that's the first indicator for me if my skin likes a certain cream.
As for the smell, it smells a bit of marigold, but not as much as I thought it would, and that's a good think because I'm not really keen on the scent of medicinal plants (which I consider marigold to be).
Price: I can't remember, but I think about 4-5 euro, so it's ok for that price.
Re-buy or pass: I like this face cream, but it's not something I would really want to use again, so it's not gonna be on my shopping list again.

My top 6 favorite products from Yves Rocher

Hi, kitties!
So, for my first "real" post on this blog, I'm gonna share with you my favorite products from Yves Rocher, one of the cosmetic brands I Love the most. Unfortunately, I don't have pics with all of the products because I've used up some of them, so I've decided to use photos from the official site. Mind you, I love Yves Rocher when it comes to skin care, because I find the make-up stuff overpriced for what it has to offer. But I love the face, body and hair products, that's why I'll show my favorites in a random order.

Pure Calmille 2-In-1 Cleanser & Toner

I love this cleanser because it gets the job done and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and invigorated. I don't use it for my eye make-up though, because I like using eye make-up remover, to be sure all the mascara and the eyeshadows are gone.  Price: about 3 euro

Pure Calmille Deep Cleansing Gel

I have combination skin and if I use exfoliating gels too often, my nose and my forehead get too dry and my skin peels off. Using this gel, I find that it's gentle enough, but it helps keeping my skin acne free.Price: about 4 euro.

Riche Crème Compensating Concentrate

I know this is an anti aging cream, but since I'm 26 I think it's ok if I use it. I loved this serum, because that's what it actually is. The formula is so delicate, it absorbs almost immediately into the skin leaving it soft and nourished. And no, it didn't make my face shine and I could apply my foundation right away in the mornings. A bit pricey, but I wouldn't mind getting these serum as a gift again. Price: no idea, I got it as a gift with an order.

Botanical Hair Care Botanical Hair Care Nutri-Repair Mask

Although this mask is intended for dry hair, I used it once a week and I loved the way it made my hair feel. Silky-smooth, without being greasy. It also helps with the frizz. And the smell, oh the smell is...it reminds me of some kind of bubblegum, God knows why 'cause it's supposed to be herbal. Price: about 5 euro.

Les Plaisirs Nature Shower Gel - Organic Vanilla

Definitely, my favorite shower gel from Yves Rocher. The Bourbon Vanilla scent is absolutely delicious, and the gel itself is thick and very foamy, so I love using this in the shower. I could eat the entire bottle because of the smell. Price: about 6 euro.

Les Jardins du Monde Shower Cream African Cocoa Bean

The last item on my favorites list is another shower gel, although I love most of the bath stuff from Yves Rocher. This is my second favorite because it's creamy and smells delicious and I'm a sucker for anything chocolate or cocoa scented.Price: about 2 euro.

So there you have it, these are my favorite products, but that's not all I'm using from this brand, as my bathroom is full of their stuff and most likely you'll find here reviews for other Yves Rocher products.

Until next time, kisses for my kitties!
