Random favorites I

Hi, kitties!
I thought I would share with you some of the things I like, even though they can't be inserted in a specific category on the blog. I told myself as soon as I have at least 5 random things I like, I would make a post. That way, you can also know me better, right?
First of all, these is my current favorite snack. This are basically baked bread rolls with cheese flavor. I won a contest sponsored by Maretti Romania (thank you!) and they gave me a box full of these. I ate 14 bags in about 5 days. Don't do what I did, because one bag has over 460 calories, so... I just couldn't help myself. In my defence, I didn't feel hungry so I only ate fruit besides these.
I didn't know if I should be ashamed of showing you pantyliners, but I figured this blog is meant for girls, and we all use them so why not? I recently discovered these Bella pantyliners because I was intrigued by the "green tea" scent. And now I love them. They are very thin, I don't feel them when I wear them, they are made out of cotton and they help with keeping that area fresh.
This is how they look like. They also have a very affordable price.
These are my new favorite socks. I love wearing cozy socks when it's cold outside and I found these in a little store. I bought 4 pairs and I think I'm going to stock up on them. They are so incredibly soft and they keep my feet warm.
Now we're entering a bit the beauty area. These is my new favorite nail polish remover. I didn't do a whole review on it because there's not much to say about it. It's from Farmasi, it's acetone free, has a slight strawberry scent and the most important thing of all, it removes the nail polish quick and my nails don't get damaged in the process.
This is a facial sponge I bought in my latest order from Oriflame. It's the first time I'm using a sponge to wash my face and I just wonder why the heck didn't I do this earlier. The sponge was 3 or 4 lei (about 1 euro).
And finally, this foot file is part of a Christmas set from Oriflame. It's like a regular file, so it gets the job done, but look how cute the design is. I love having Christmas related things during winter time. The file was 6 lei (about 1.5 euros).
So, that's all folks, for now at least. Stay tuned for some upcomming reviews on my latest Oriflame purchases.

My top favorite products from Oriflame

Probably you're wondering why there have been many posts featuring products from this brand on my blog. Well, I'm a consultant and I buy the majority of the products I use from Oriflame and I do that because I like them. I don't usually order for other than myself, so I basically don't have any financial gane other than the fact that I benefit from the special prices of the consultants. Therefore, I thought I would share what I think are the products you should try from this brand, that are worth the money because like almost every other brand, there are the usual hits and misses.
Let's start with...
SKIN CARE
The Royal Velvet anti-aging line

I haven't used the products, but my mother is a big fan of the Firming Eye Contour Cream and the Firming Day Cream and I occasionally buy them for her.
Unfortunately, I haven't fell in love with other skin care products I tried and I found them to be just average.
MAKE-UP
Sparkle in Paris Eye Pencil

I'm guessing this is the same formula of their basic kohl pencil. It's creamy, smooth, pigmented and it doesn't smudge.
Mascara
Honestly, every mascara I have tried was good, so I don't have any particula recommendation.
Beauty Conceal Kit

This handy kit has 3 shades for different needs: yellow, green and brown and I liked the formula too so I used mostly the green and yellow shade for red spots and dark circles.
EverLasting Foundation

This foundation has medium coverage, it's suitable for oily skin too and it stays put even without powder or primer for 6 hours at least.
Perfecting Face Primer

People are saying it's not that good, but I like this primer because it's affordable, it leaves the skin smooth and it minimizes pores.
Power Shine Lip Gloss (all formulas)

I like shimmery lips, but I hate it when a lip gloss has those chunky glitter particles in it and these are great because they sparkle without being too obvious.
Wonder Colour Lipstick

These lipsticks have a creamy formula and good pigmentation, plus a variety of shades to chose from.
FRAGRANCE
More by Demi EDP

This fragrance has a very long lasting scent, very powerful and I recommend using it in the fall/winter season.
Volare Magnolia EDT

The Volare perfume is a hit in sales for Oriflame, but I like this reinterpretation better because I love magnolia scent. This isn't that long lasting, but it's ok for everyday use.
Manful EDT

I already told you my husband and I are loving this perfume because it's spicy and very long lasting.
As for the body care and hair care products...well, I'm sorry to say, but they don't stand out to me. I usually buy something when it's limited edition with special scents, but the formulas are not that special. For example, I used to love a Christmas edition hand cream because it smelled like oranges and cinnamon, but the hidratation was not that great.
All in all, I recommend you buy Oriflame products only when they are on sale, and not at the normal price because frankly they're not worth that much money.

Scooby-Doo! Liquid Soap review

Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire
Official description: Being a no-name brand, I couldn't find one.
Packaging: The soap comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a pump containing 500 ml (17.6 fl.oz.)
Texture: Not being a cream soap, this is not so thick. It has a bright pink (almost fuchsia) color and it smells strongly like bubblegum. It's a bit shimmery too.
Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire
What it does: It's gentle on the hands (probably because of the glycerin). I know it's supposed to be for kids, but the scent is delicious. It smells like pink bubblegum and I'm almost tempted to taste it. But I don't, obviously. Other than that, I put it by the sink to use it when we wash our hands and it does a great job. My hubby likes it too.
Price: about 1.5 euro from a local supermarket.
Re-buy or pass: I'm gonna buy 1 or 2 backups the next time I go shopping, because I saw this Scooby-Doo soap since a couple of months but I could never get the pink one because they had only a yellow one which smells like oranges. Nothing against oranges, buy...it's bubblegum!

SYOSS Glossing Shine-Seal Treatment review

Official description: Couldn't find one
Packaging: Pink tube containing 250 ml of product.
Texture: Thick white cream with a pleasant scent.
What it does: This is a treatment and I think you're supposed to use it as a mask, but on the packaging it says only to apply for 2 minutes and then rinse and that's it. I use it basically as a conditioner, because i use this every time I wash my hair. I'm obsessed with shiny hair because i don't color my hair and my only regret is the nice shine women with colored hair have. So, this was actually a very nice surprise. It's the cheapest product I've used that actually makes my hair shiny. It says it contains keratin, so i think this might be the reason why. I also like the fact that my hair doesn't look dull an it maintains volume and this is great because usually shampoos and conditioners for shininess tend to do that.
Price: about 2 euro
Re-buy or pass: Not only will I repurchase this treatment again, but i want to try other SYOSS products as well. I was afraid because of the large quantity bottles you get for a low price, but I find from reading on the Internet that with these products it's a love it or leave it kind of relationship. Either you love them or you hate them and they're not for everyone.

On Kitty's watchlist:Friends

As you already know, i love sitcom and my all-time favorite is Friends. It's the only show I literally laugh until I get tears in my eyes. I'm so sorry It's over since more than 10 years now, but I still find it funny and I like to watch a couple of episodes at least once a week.
And how can I not love the happy gang: Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Joey, Monica and Chandler. Matthew Perry is my favorite "friend" and Chandler and Monica were my favorite couple from the show. So, this rainy Sunday (well, at least here it rains) I'm gonna curl up on the couch and have some laughs with them.

Yves Rocher Brazilian Coffee Beans Shower Cream review

Official description: Explore the lush gardens of Brazil along the paths lined with coffee trees. Rediscover each morning the powerful , refined fragrance of precious coffee beans and abandon yourself to this bewitching shower cream with its soothing scent.
Packaging: Transparent plastic bottle which contains 200 ml.
Texture: It really is a shower cream, quite rich, with a pale shade of beige color and delicious scent.
What it does: Just after I started this blog I realised almost all the products in my bathroom are YR. I love Jardins du Monde shower gels and creams and this one and the cocoa beans one are my two favorites. I'm pretty lazy, so I don't always have the patience to use body lotion after shower, so I look for bath products that hydrate the skin and leave it soft and moisturised. This shower cream is one of them. I particularly like the scent, it smells like a creamy coffee and I would literally drink it if I could. It make a rich foam, so I don't have to use much product.
Price: about 2 euro.
Re-buy or pass: I keep re-buying it for several years now.

essence The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn part 2 loose pigment eyeshadow review

My experience with pigments is very limited, as I have used only one other pigment from Ga-De and it was very disappointing because of the fall-out. Other than that, if Yves Rocher is my love brand when it comes to skin care, I fell in love with the make-up products from essence because you get good quality at a low price and the packaging is adorable. I also love the many limited edition collections available.

Official description:
vampire eyes! the loose eyeshadow pigments, available in three dark, almost black shades and one light golden shade, create mysterious and fascinating eye make-up à la bella swan. the pigments can either be used individually or combined. the ideal base: the essence colour arts eye base from the essence standard range.

available in 01 jacob’s protection, 02 alice had a vision – again, 03 a piece of forever and 04 edward’s love.
My pigment is 01 Jacob's protection.
Packaging: The pigment comes in a transparent plastic container inscriptioned with the Twilight font. Under the lid, there's an opening with small holes, so you get tiny amounts of product, so it doesn't go to waste. It contains 1.7 gr (0.06 oz.)
Texture: Unlike my other pigment, this one is very much like a regular eyeshadow and I have no problem with fall-outs. It's very smooth and blendable, so it's easy to work with. Jacob's protection is a nice black color with a strong dark green undertone. It looks gorgeous especially in the light and I wear it constantly.
I like to use my essence brush with it, the smokey eyes one.

The brush has a lovely design, with the purple decorations and the purple tip. It doesn't shed and it's a very nice brush for blending. It costs only about 1.5 euro.
What it does: Like I already said, the pigment has a good color pay-off, and I love shimmery or glittery eyeshadows, but sometimes it's hard to work with them (I'm not very skilled in make-up). I had no problems with this pigment and it doesn't crease if I use a prime. I used alone, it lasts only for a couple of hours, though.

Price: About 4 euro.
Re-buy or pass: I'm thinking about getting Alice had a vision again too, because I saw some swatches and it's a gorgeous purple shade. But then I again, I don't like purples very much and I wouldn't use it. If the quality of the rest of the essence pigments is the same, I'll definitely add other colors to my small collection.

Yves Rocher Pur Bleuet Express Makeup Remover review

Official description: It removes all traces of make-up in one sweep. Known for its cornflower formula that is delicate enough for sensitive eyes and does not sting.

The Plus:
- Its cornflower enriched formula with soothing properties.
- Presented in the form of a two-phase lotion.
- Its quick results.
Tested under ophthalmological supervision
Packaging: Plastic transparent bottle with a cap. It contains 125 ml (4.2 fl. oz)
Texture: It's a biphasic eye makeup remover, so you have to shake it before using it for the oil and the liquid to mix together.
What it does: I always loved all makeup remover I've tried from YR and this one is no exception. I have troubles with removing mascara for some reason, but with this one, even waterproof mascara is gone in one sweep. It's very gentle on the eyes and I never experienced stinging or other discomfort when I used it. I don't know if it's the cornflower extract or what, but my eyes feel somehow refreshed when I take my makeup off in the evening. If I wasn't so cheap, I would use it in the mornings too, to look more rested. Although its formula contains oil, there's no residue left, so I don't have to necessarily wash my face after (just that I like to do that anyway).
Price: about 5 euro
Re-buy or pass: I already bought two bottles of this, because it was on a buy one get one free sale, but I will pay full price for it anyway, because it's the best eye makeup remover I've used so far.

essence The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn part 2 Shimmer Powder review

Official description: the absolute must-have for all twilight girls! the delicate shimmer powder offers your face and body a special glow and makes your complexion look beautifully smooth – for ultimate vampire seduction.

available in 01 bella‘s secret.
Packaging: The powder comes in a transparent plastic case using the "Twilight font" for the writing. The case contains 11 g (0.38 oz), so you get quite an amount of product.

Texture: It may look like a contact powder, but it is very airy and smooth, like a loose powder, so it's very easy to work with. It has tiny shimmer particles in it, but they are delicate and I don't look like a disco ball when I use it. It gives me a shimmery, golden, subtle tone to my skin.
What it does: It's basically an illuminating powder, so it's destined for highlighting. There are days when I don't use eyeshadows, but contouring and highlighting is very important to me. I love using a product that's subtle and there's no danger in applying too much of it. For an evening event, such a night at a club or something like that, you can even use it all over the face. Avoid doing this is u have oily skin though. No one want a shiny face, right?
Price: about 4 euro
Re-buy or pass: This is my second favourite shimmer powder I've ever used, and it's cheaper than my all time favourite so I'd definitely re-buy it. Sadly, this was a limited collection and I only hope that I'll find something similar in the regular essence line.

Yves Rocher Pure Calmille Deep Cleansing Gel review

Official description: A refreshing gel enriched with organic chamomile.

Rich-lathering, soap-free gel leaves skin purified and fresh. The perfect choice for women who prefer a rinse-off cleanser. Soft, floral scent. Cleanses the skin in depth, effectively eliminating impurities and traces of make-up.
An ultra-simple, daily cleansing gesture to ensure flawless skin! Perfectly purifies the skin.

The Plus: this gel is soap-free, so does not dry the skin.

Dermatologist tested. Suitable for all skin types.

Packaging: It comes in a bottle with a cap and it contains 200 ml. Like the cleanser, the plastic bottle is nice and simple. I would have likes a bottle with a pump, but luckily, the gel isn't too thick,so I can get out the right amount of product for a wash.
Texture: It's something between a liquid and a gel, not too thin and not too thick. It makes a lot of foam, so I don't have to use too much. It has a pleasant green color and a nice, floral scent.

What it does: It truly is a deep cleansing gel, although it hasn't any exfoliating particles in it, and it's very gentle to the skin. I don't feel my skin dried out after using it, I just moisturise anyway because I have an age you know, I can't just hope for beautiful skin when I'm past 25 years old.
Price: about 4 euro.
Re-buy or pass: I like this cleansing gel very much, it's hard for me to find a deep cleansing gel suitable for my problematic T- zone that isn't too rough on the skin. As you probably can tell by now, I very much enjoy Yves Rocher skin care products, so this one isn't leaving my bathroom too soon.

Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector review

Official description: Save time with just one multi-benefit product that offers advanced skincare + immediate skin perfecting coverage. This hybrid formula renews radiance, brightens complexion, evens skin tone, hydrates and protects with SPF15 UVA/UVB sunscreen. Get results you can see and feel instantly.

  • Renews, Brightens, Evens, Hydrates, Protects
  • SPF 15
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Packaging: Comes in a tube of 50 ml. I don't particularly like tubes because sometimes I get too much product out, but at leas it's more hygienic than a jar.
Texture: It's pretty much similar to a light coverage foundation because it's thicker than a normal face cream. I have it in the shade Light and there's only another Medium one to chose from. On my hand it looks a bit dark because for the photo I got too much product out. It's very blendable and adaptive, so you can't really tell I have it on.

What it does: It says on the box (which I no longer have) it's a daily 5-in-1 moisturizer, so I use it in the morning without any face cream. On days I stay pretty much at home, just going grocery shopping or something like that, I use it by itself, but on normal days I apply a foundation over it, because I have blemishes and acne to cover and it wouldn't be enough to use just a BB Cream. I dont' agree with what others say, that non-Asian BB Creams are just  tinted moisturisers, because I find it makes my skin look healthier, with a little bit of glow and just...better than without it. It's my first BB Cream, but so far I'm very happy with it and I wouldn't want it to be more like a foundation because I think moisturisers and foundations are supposed to be two different things. One moisturises your skin and makes gets it ready for make-up, and the other it's supposed to give you coverage and color. At least that's my opinion.
    Price: about 8 euro
Re-buy or pass: For me, definitely a re-buy. It has also sunscreen, it makes my skin glow and I look fresh in the morning (my skin tends to be dull sometimes).

My top 6 favorite products from Yves Rocher

    Hi, kitties!
So, for my first "real" post on this blog, I'm gonna share with you my favorite products from Yves Rocher, one of the cosmetic brands I Love the most. Unfortunately, I don't have pics with all of the products because I've used up some of them, so I've decided to use photos from the official site. Mind you, I love Yves Rocher when it comes to skin care, because I find the make-up stuff overpriced for what it has to offer. But I love the face, body and hair products, that's why I'll show my favorites in a random order.

Pure Calmille 2-In-1 Cleanser & Toner

I love this cleanser because it gets the job done and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and invigorated. I don't use it for my eye make-up though, because I like using eye make-up remover, to be sure all the mascara and the eyeshadows are gone.  Price: about 3 euro

    Pure Calmille Deep Cleansing Gel

I have combination skin and if I use exfoliating gels too often, my nose and my forehead get too dry and my skin peels off. Using this gel, I find that it's gentle enough, but it helps keeping my skin acne free.Price: about 4 euro.

    Riche Crème Compensating Concentrate

I know this is an anti aging cream, but since I'm 26 I think it's ok if I use it. I loved this serum, because that's what it actually is. The formula is so delicate, it absorbs almost immediately into the skin leaving it soft and nourished. And no, it didn't make my face shine and I could apply my foundation right away in the mornings. A bit pricey, but I wouldn't mind getting these serum as a gift again. Price: no idea, I got it as a gift with an order.

Botanical Hair Care Botanical Hair Care Nutri-Repair Mask

Although this mask is intended for dry hair, I used it once a week and I loved the way it made my hair feel. Silky-smooth, without being greasy. It also helps with the frizz. And the smell, oh the smell is...it reminds me of some kind of bubblegum, God knows why 'cause it's supposed to be herbal. Price: about 5 euro.

Les Plaisirs Nature Shower Gel - Organic Vanilla

Definitely, my favorite shower gel from Yves Rocher. The Bourbon Vanilla scent is absolutely delicious, and the gel itself is thick and very foamy, so I love using this in the shower. I could eat the entire bottle because of the smell. Price: about 6 euro.

Les Jardins du Monde Shower Cream African Cocoa Bean

The last item on my favorites list is another shower gel, although I love most of the bath stuff from Yves Rocher. This is my second favorite because it's creamy and smells delicious and I'm a sucker for anything chocolate or cocoa scented.Price: about 2 euro.

So there you have it, these are my favorite products, but that's not all I'm using from this brand, as my bathroom is full of their stuff and most likely you'll find here reviews for other Yves Rocher products.

Until next time, kisses for my kitties!
