REVIEW: Beauty UK Naill Gift Set in Midnight Minx

Official description:
We thought we'd take a selection of our best selling, utterly fabulous nail polish colours, turn them in to mini versions (that actually aren't that mini!) and put them into three themed collections in a pretty package....then someone in the office had a hot flush and decided we should sell them at less than a fiver!
Packaging: The nail polishes are not really mini size because they have 8 ml each, and that's how sometimes normal size nail polishes come.
Texture: Some of the colors are more liquid than the others (the blue and the lilac shade). Only the black one is matte and the others are all a little bit sparkly.
What it does: Beauty UK Romania were having a 50% off sale, so I decided to buy a nail polish gift set because I don't have that many colors. And since it was just the beginning of fall (it was October) I decided to go for this color combination because they seemed to be fall colors. Oddly enough, the darker colors (black, blue and the lilac I first thought was purple) were not that pigmented and I had to apply 3 coats for the true color to show up. The black is matte, but still shiny and that's something I like because I don't like matte nail polishes at all. If you're a fan though, this gift set is not for you because the colors are mostly on the sparkly side. The nail polishes stay on my nails for about 3-4 days because I do many house chores like washing dishes by hand or scrubbing my oven or things like that, but I'm pretty happy with the staying power.

The black shade in 3 coats

The blue shade, also in 3 coats.

The dark red shade

This is a silver grey shade. It's very nice

The lilac shade seems to be purple in the bottle but it's lighter on the nails.

The last nail polish I thought it was going to be a boring yellow shade (I hate yellow in general), but it's a beautiful golden color. I think it will look great together with the the dark red for Christmas.

Price: 18 lei (about 4 euros)
Re-buy or pass: I would buy other gift sets too, asides the Urban Girl one because they seem like pastel shades and I'm afraid they're not that pigmented.

NOTD: Beauty UK Salon Professional no 83 Wow That's Pink

This is my last Beauty UK post for now and I wanted to show you this gorgeous pink color. The name itself got me thinking it might be great, but the shade is like an almost neon pink, which I find to be very suitable for summer. Needless to say I love this color! I applied two coats here, because just one coat is kind of sheer. It staid on my nails for about 2-3 days, which is something usual for me. If I wear short nails I can get by for about 5 days, but if my nails are longer, just a few. It has a shiny finish and some mauve reflexes, which I don't know if you can see in the picture.I got this nail polish from beautyukcosmetics.ro and it was 15 lei (about 4 euro). I would try other shades too.

NOTD: Beauty UK Posh Polish

I just got this beautiful nail polish that I won at a contest sponsored by Beauty UK Romania. I chose some products because I had a voucher and I couldn't resist trying this nail polish first. I'm a sucker for anything golden, so I got this one from the Foil line, shade 01 Olympic Gold. May I just say...wow. This is only one coat on my nails, and the polish is so thick in a good way, it has great coverage, very easy to apply and my nails were dry really fast. I don't know yet how long lasting it is, but I did the dishes tonight so...I don't really care, I'm happy if it doesn't chip for 2 or 3 days.
It's the first nail polish I try from them and I love it. I think it's an absolute must. There's also a silver one in the Foil line that looks pretty interesting.
The nail polish has 9 ml and it costs 21 lei (about 5 euro) on beautyukcosmetics.ro, so it's not that cheap, but so far I think it's well worth it.
Disclaimer: By winning a giveaway I wasn't conditioned on posting positive reviews about the products, actually I wasn't conditioned on reviewing them at all, so this is my honest opinion!

This is shade 15 Touch of Pink. It's a pale pink nail polish with shiny finish. I like it because it's very subtle shade and I wear it when I don't want to have a bright color on my nails. I bought it for 5 lei (aprox 1 euro) from cosmetiq.ro.

NOTD: L.A. Colors

I'm beginning to like these Color Craze nail polishes because I find they work as top coats for that extra colorful glittery finish on the nails. Here I applied two coats of Magnetic Force and Glistening Purple as top coat. I think it's a nice combination for spring-summer.
P.S. I know I haven't posted much this week, but I bought some goodies from Avon and I'll be doing some reviews with my summer skin care routine.I know it's just May, but we have a really hot spring here, so I feel like it's already summer.

NOTD: Farmasi and L.A. Colors

I finally found use for the L.A Colors Color Craze in Ocean Mist nail polish. Turns out it works great as a top coat to add some glitter. For the base I used a beautiful royal blue shade from Farmasi, but I just don't know the exact shade number as it says on the bottle no 031, just like my other burgundy nail polish. Strange. After applying Ocean Mist, the color didn't get much lighter, but I have a nice, metallic icy blue finish, so I like it.

NOTD: Farmasi 031

Yes, I know I don't have a perfect manicure because I haven't cleaned my cuticles when I took the photo, but the purpose of these postings is to show you the color of the nail polish and not my laking talents in applying color.
Farmasi nail polish can be found in many stores, big or small and it's cheap. i used two coats to get this burgundy color with small glitter particles in it. One coat looks nice too.

NOTD: L.A. Colors Color Craze in Ocean Mist

The color looks gorgeous in the bottle like a nice turquoise shade, but on my nails it's almost clear, and it appears to be a mix between a grey and a light blue. I like the metallic finish and the fine glitter, but I'm disappointed I didn't get the color I was hoping for. It's more like a glittery top coat. In the pictures (with and without flash) I wear two coats, because in only one coat you can barely see it. The price of this nail polish was about 2 euro.

NODT: L.A. Colors Color Craze in Magnetic Force

This mini-nail polish is a more coraly pink with a somewhat strange finish: it's not mate and it's not metallic or shine, but it's something in between. I applied 2 coats because really, is there a cheap nail polish working in only one coat? Something tells me it's not going to last more than maybe a couple of days on my nails. The price of this mini-nail polish is about 1 euro.

NOTD: Yves Rocher Rose Sorbet

I like pink nails, so there's no wonder I tend to buy lots of pink nail polish. This one is a mini-nail polish from YR, which is a nice pink candy color with a shiny finish. Although it stays on the nails without chipping for about 3-4 days (I do many house chores, like washing dishes by hand or sometimes even clothes), it needs 2 coats to reveal it's true shade.
