TESTING Vichy Idealia Life Serum

Hi, kitties!
Last week, I signed up for receiving some samples of the new Vichy serum. It's supposed to make your skin look better even if you smoke, you have a more stressful lifestyle or you suffer from lack of sleep. I smoke and sometimes I don't sleep through the night because of my cat who's crazy, so I think I'm the perfect person to test this serum. If you're from Romania, you can sign up here and you'll get 8 samples, one being enough for two applications and if you give your feedback on the site you have a chance of winning some prizes too. I tried to take some pictures of my face, without any make-up,Photoshop or other "tools" and with micro settings (God, I look like hell!)and I'll take some pictures after the 8 days are over.

I'll begin tomorrow and we'll see if I will finally like something from Vichy because everything I tested hasn't convinced me to buy the products.

NEW fragrances from essence!

essence adds two new fragrances to the portfolio, Like A Day in Paradise and Like The Party Of My Life. I have yet to try their fragrances and I just might pick up one soon if they have it at the stand in my town. On their Facebook page I found only the description of the second fragrance, which is:
Top Notes: lemon, orange, apricot,hyacinth, lily of the valley
Middle Notes: vanilla, santal wood, musk, cedar wood
Base Notes: osmanthus, jasmin, rose, violet

NEW Avon Eye Cream Swirls - Fall 2013

I just saw these on the US website and it got me thinking if we might get them here too. These are supposed to be 4 eyeshadow shades with different finishes (shimmer, matte and satin) all in just one pot.
Available shades are:

• Swirled Gold
• Swirled Clouds
• Swirled Champaigne
• Swirled Violet

They seem pretty afforable too (3 bucks each), so I guess they're part of the Color Trend line.

Fall news from e.l.f.

I must say, I'm a fan of e.l.f. cosmetics because they are so affordable (well, here in Romania not really because they're imported and such), but they also have great quality, in my opinion. One of the things I like are the look books. The design is very cute because they do look like books, but I also like the eyeshadows. I have only two palettes from e.l.f, both from the spring collection and I like the look book better than the 32 piece eyeshadow palette.The eyeshadows have so nice reflexions and they are very versatile.
Now, the Disney Villains Collection is not new for e.l.f, but we never got them here, so pretty please e.l.f. Romania, bring the fall look books. I found a couple of pictures and the description of the products, so here you go:

Avon teams up with Megan Fox

Avon snatched another beautiful actress for their oncoming perfumes, one for women and one for men. Instinct for Her and Instinct for Him will launch this fall in Europe and next year in the US.

Every beauty freak's dream: your own make-up line

If you haven't heard about YouTube guru Michelle Phan, than you probably live under a rock. Now, she's launched her own cosmetics line, named em, and she's having the support of L'Oreal for this. I'm not a huge Michelle Phan fan, but I know 6 years ago when I first watched make-up tutorials on YouTube, there were only a handful of girls doing make-up back then, and she was among the first. So, I'm happy for her, because she's fulfilling her dreams. The stars of the line seem to be the Life Palettes, but honestly I don't like the packaging that much, the eyeshadows look like tiny dots with no special arranging order. But hey, that's just me. Anyways, after Lauren Conrad and Makeup Geek it was about time she had her own line. I wonder who's gonna be next?Maybe Kandee Johnson?

New nail polish summer collection from Farmec

Farmec is a very popular and very loved cosmetics brand. They have mostly skin care stuff, but they do make some great quality nail polishes. For this summer, they came up with 7 new shades in the Farmec Collection and they're all min-size (5 ml), so you can easily carry them with you on vacation.
The news shades are:
Pool Party and Deep Dive (blue shades)
Cocktail and Exotic Dream (red shades)
Spring Break (green shade)
Flip-Flop (coral shade)
City Break (purple shade)
I haven't seen them in stores yet (probably in my town they'll be available in the fall), but you can buy them online on their website. The price is 4.47 lei (aprox. 1 euro) for each nail polish.

In Romania,we can get NYX products only if we order them online (and the shipping is a pain in the ass), or there are some Romanian online stores that sell this products. I've received in a newsletter some interesting new goodies available here. These are:

New Beauty Box in Romania! Magic Box

Here in Romania, beauty boxes are not that popular, because we don't get many full-size products or big-size samples, so people are not that happy with them.Currently there is Pink Box and Lulu Box and Sabon have released their own beauty box called Magic Box. They made the announcement this morning and all the 120 boxes are already sold-out. So, until May there's no chance of ordering them.
Magic Box  is available for ordering only online. It contains 3 full-size products, 2 samples or miniatures and one surprise-product, all Sabon, of course, so if  you're a fan of the brand it's a pretty good deal. Sabon  products are not that cheap. The price of a Magic Box is 65 lei (about 20 dollars, or 15 euro), delivery taxes included and it can be ordered here.

April's new fragrances

I for one love perfumes and if it were up to me, I'd have a big collection of them. And when I say big I DO MEAN big! There are some new fragrances that caught my attention, so here they are:

Live Colorfully by Kate Spade with notes of mandarin, pink water lily, gardenia, and radiant musk. Price: $75-$95

Prada Candy L'Eau is a fresh take on the original gourmand scent. It launches next month and features the same signature caramel note, but it's blended with sweet pea and citrus for a new take.

Be Jeweled by Vera Wang has fruity notes like pomegranate, red currant, and passion fruit blended with floral and woody notes. And the bottle looks so cute!Price: $45-$68.

Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine by Marc Jacobs is made up of strawberry, apple blossom, rose, and jasmine petals mixed with amber wood. Price: $78.

Just Cavalli by Roberto Cavalli with notes of neroli, Tiare flower, and palissander. Price: $60.

Feerie Spring Blossom by Van Cleef & Arpel contains cherry, magnolia, and musk. The bottle is gorgeous with the little fairy on top. Price: $90.

Cherry in the Air by Escada features notes of black cherry,mandarin and raspberry. I've order a sample and I just can't wait to smell it!Price: $20-$56.

Coach Love is a floral perfume with notes of violet, magnolia, gardenia, vanilla and musk. Price: $92.

Couture La La by Juicy Couture features white florals blended with effervescent mandarin notes for a feminine scent spiked with a little zest. Price: $70-$90.

L.I.L.Y. by Stella McCartney is bold blend of black truffles, lily of the valley, pink pepper, musk, and patchouli.Price: $25-$100.
