Thursday readings: Very Valentine by Adriana Trigiani

I had no idea there are two books in this series, with a third one coming out this year. In Romania they released only the first book in the series, so now I'm trying to find a way to read the rest of them.
Valentine Roncalli comes from an Italian family and tries to save the family business, a shoe store. She and her grandmother are the last artisans of the family. But trying to sell handmade shoes in New York, a city full of malls and shopping centers is very difficult, so they have to struggle with debt and low sells.
Valentine works hard on her career and the business, but she also wants love in her life, so when she meets a talented chef, everything seems to come together. Soon, her brother Alfred puts pressure on her grandmother to sell the shop, and Valentine has less and less time to spend with her new boyfriend.
If you love Italian families, food, shoes and beautiful scenarios, than this is a book for you. It's not a chick-lit one, obviously, it's a beautiful love story, not too cheesy and the characters are very lovable.
