Thursday readings: The Second Wives Club by Jane Moore

Hi, kitties!
Have you noticed how many chick-lit books are about 3 or 4 women who are part of some club? I have read books about a chocolate lovers club, shoes addicts club, book club, and now about 4 women who become friends because they are all second wives and have to deal with that part of their men's lives where they weren't in the picture.
The main characters are Julia-the perfect example for the trophy-wife because she haunted a wealthy husband and she spends her days at the beauty salon and preparing delicious meals and hot nights in the sheets for him, Susan-the one who was always the ugly duckling and now she's raising her dead friend's daughter and has a relationship with the father, Fiona-who would be very happy with her husband and their daughter if it weren't for her stepson, the teenager from hell and Allison-the newlywed who has to put up with a very jealous Italian ex-wife.
The book is very funny and I liked the characters very much and also I think Jane Moore described perfectly 4 different situation in which a second marriage isn't only a second chance at love and it can be probably the worst idea in the world.
